Global telecommunications giant [MTN] has applauded the Sports Writers Association of Ghana [SWAG] for consistently awarding excellence in the area of sports over the years.
“I would like to commend the Sports Writers Association of Ghana for consistently playing the role of industry watchers to spot the high performing sports personalities and award them each year,” said Corporate Sales Executive of MTN Ghana [Mr. Samuel Koranteng] at the presentation of MTN’s sponsorship package for the 44th SWAG awards night ceremony on Wednesday, April 17.
“This they [SWAG] do beyond their professional mandate of reporting on the games they cover in their respective media outlets,” he adds.
According to Mr. Koranteng, the sports fraternity look forward to the MTN SWAG Awards each year to see who actually enters into the SWAG Hall of Fame as the Sports Personality of the Year.
MTN Ghana has increased its sponsorship package of the awards to Sixty Thousand Ghana Cedis [GHC60,000.00].
